August International Ltd. is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our the Audar health Platform (hence known as the platform) for use with our wearable model E2 watch. By accessing or using our platform you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

 

 

1: What information we collect?

 

 

Through the Audar Health, August obtains and maintains information about you in various ways:


Information You Provide Directly

 

·         Audar health account information: such as username, date of birth, gender, profile photo, email address, telephone numbers, postcode and country. 

·         Health and wellness-related data, such as height, weight, heart rate body temperature, blood pressure level, oxygen saturation level.

·         Your profile information (such as your nickname, photo, activity levels contact list) is open to other users assigned as a caremate.

 

Information About Your Use of Audar Health

 

In addition to the information you provide, we will collect information about your use of our Audar Health platform. We will collect:

 

·         Information about your use of Audar health, such as settings, and in-app usage information, including menus and settings clicked, features used, frequency and duration of use of the app and crash report data (including crash logs and error messages displayed). We also collect any information stored in cookies we have set on your device.

·         Device information, such as firmware version, operating system and device identifiers serial numbers.

·         Location data: GPS and Wi-Fi signals and other information related to your location your device’s precise geolocation when you use location-based features such as SOS alert. Geolocations and maps for the SOS are defined by Google maps, therefore location information may be used by Google.

 

 

2: How we use your information?

 

 

We use the information collected for the following purposes:

 

·         To identify and authenticate you so you may use the Audar Health platform;

·        To provide you with the Audar Health platform, including allowing you to interact with and connect to the E2 watch;

·        To respond to your requests, enquiries and instructions made through and about Audar health. We reserve the right to refuse to act on your request where we are unable to identify you;

·        To operate, evaluate and improve our business (including developing new products; enhancing and improving our products and the Audar health platform; managing our communications; analysing our products and performing accounting, auditing and other internal functions);

·         To protect against, identify and prevent fraud and other criminal activity, claims and other liabilities;

·     To comply with and enforce applicable legal requirements, relevant industry standards and our policies.


August International; processes personal information for the purposes described above. Our legal basis to process personal information is outlined below:

·         Provide marketing notifications (such as via push notifications)

·         Complying with applicable statutes and regulatory and court orders

·         Providing you with customised content, such as insight messages

·         Allowing you to interact with and connect to other Samsung and third-party content

·         Processing of health data

 

 

3: Who do we share your information with?

 

 

We will disclose your information internally within our business and to the following entities, but only for the purposes described above.

·         Affiliates: other August International Ltd companies which we control or we own;

·         Business partners: partners who we work together with to provide you with the Audar Health Platform;

·         Service providers: carefully selected companies that provide services for or on behalf of us, such as cloud service platforms that maintain data on our behalf. These providers are also committed to protecting your information;

·         Other parties when required by law or as necessary to protect Audar Health: for example, it may be necessary by law, legal process or court order from governmental authorities to disclose your information. They may also seek your information from us for the purposes of law enforcement, national security, anti-terrorism or other issues that are related to public security;

·         Other parties in connection with corporate transactions: we may disclose your information to a third party as part of a merger or transfer, acquisition or sale or in the event of bankruptcy;

·         Other parties with your consent or at your direction: in addition to the disclosures described in this Privacy Notice, we may share information about you with third parties when you separately consent to or request such sharing.

 

 

4: How long do we retain your information and where does it go?

 

 

How long your data will be retained depends on the legal basis relied upon to process your data. For example, data we process to perform our contract with you requires us to keep the data throughout the time you use Audar Health platform. As long as you are an active user of Audar Health, we will retain and process this data. Data such as your account information and device information and identifiers fall into this category.

 

Data we process to promote our business interests, such as your usage of Audar Health, is only kept for as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected. For example, this data may be collected to perform analytics so we can develop improvements to Audar Health.

In addition, we may also process your data based on your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we will continue to process data collected prior to your withdrawal until the purposes for which such data was collected have been achieved.


Please note, although we aim to retain your data for the time period described above, your data may be processed longer pursuant to applicable law. For example, if a specific statute mandates, we require a certain piece of data, we comply and retain that data until the required retention period expires.

As long as your data is retained by us your data will always be subject to appropriate safeguards.

Your use of Samsung Health will involve the transfer, storage and processing of your personal information to other countries; such countries include, without limitation, countries in the European Economic Area and China. All international data transfers are subject to legal requirements to ensure that your personal information is processed safely and as you would expect.

 

5: PSTI compliance

 

We, August International Ltd, as manufacture, declare, that the E2 AUDAR watch and associated AUDAR health platform are in conformance with the applicable security requirements of The Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure Act 2022 (security requirements for internet-connectable products and products capable of connecting to such).

6: Security reporting

 

If you have a concern about the security of the product E2 or the associated platform AUDAR health please use the following email contact to report your concern. Concerns will be acknowledged within 1 business day; updates will then be provided until your security concern has been resolved.
